Pocket Margin Mosaic helps freelance designers review a client project quote before sending it. You enter the fee, estimated work blocks, direct costs, payment timing, included revisions, and a chosen hourly floor; the app calculates an effective hourly margin and how many additional revisions would cross that floor. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it stays on your device.

Information you provide

All quote content is information you choose to enter, including project labels, currency display preferences, fee amounts, work-block labels and hours, direct cost labels and amounts, payment delay and follow-up hour assumptions, revision allowance, hourly floor values, and any alternate fee or revision values you use for comparison. The app processes this data only to run its on-device calculations and to show or restore your saved quote studies.

How the app uses information

Calculations run locally on your iPhone or iPad using deterministic formulas based on your inputs. The engine totals work and revision hours, allocates payment follow-up time and direct costs across the quote, derives net fee after costs, computes effective hourly margin, compares it with your chosen floor, and solves for an additional-revision threshold when applicable. The app does not predict client approval, estimate market rates, or connect to bank or accounting services.

Local storage

Quote studies and app preferences (such as preferred currency display and a default hourly floor for new studies) are stored on your device using Apple’s on-device persistence (SwiftData). A normal install starts with no saved studies until you create one. Saved studies remain available in the app’s saved-studies list so you can reopen them when a client changes scope, update assumptions, and recalculate.

What we do not collect through the app

Based on the product design, Pocket Margin Mosaic does not require you to create an account, sign in, or sync quote data to a developer-operated cloud service. The app is not described as sending your quote fields to external analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. If Apple’s platform provides optional diagnostics separate from this app’s features, those flows are controlled by your device and Apple settings, not by quote content you enter here.

Network and external services

The quote workbench is built to work with locally entered assumptions. The app does not need network access to perform margin and revision-threshold calculations or to save studies on device. This policy does not cover third-party websites you may open outside the app (for example, when you follow a link in email support).

Sharing and disclosure

We do not receive your quote studies from the app by default. You control whether quote details leave your device—for example, if you copy values into an email, message, or proposal document you send to a client. We do not sell personal information based on the local-only design described above.

Retention and deletion

Your saved quote studies and preferences remain on your device until you remove them. You can delete individual saved studies from the saved-studies flow and remove all locally stored studies from app settings. Uninstalling the app from your device typically removes locally stored app data subject to iOS behavior and any device backups you maintain.

Children

The app is a professional quote-review tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app’s local storage model.

Changes

We may update this policy if the app’s data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revised version. Material changes will be reflected in the in-app or hosted copy you access before relying on the app.
